NOSTALGIA

NOSTALGIA

nostalgia but for what still leaves the taste upon my tongue: a stamp of what was true and what was
free; the lights were young. an image of the day that i had once upon belonged. lord, take me back to
where the heavens met the mountains and the sun.

I have a story and it sings a song

With a vague description, and a hopeless throng.

My ideas useless and my vision gone,

All my sacrilegions, all my actions wrong.

May my mind be silent and my heart be still,

As I listen closely for the midnight thrill.

Coded kisses clouded life’s eternal thrill

Make my guards defenceless; soldiers lost of will.
